Sliding Scale
Why a Sliding Scale?
We utilize a sliding scale because we recognize that everyone has a different set of financial circumstances and thus a different ability to pay for healthcare. Even individuals or families that have a relatively good income may be struggling to make ends meet due to various financial obligations like children, schooling, a mortgage, or elderly relatives that need assistance.
We believe that access to healthcare should be a basic human right. Lack of access puts a strain on the individual, which leads to an eventual strain on the family, which in turn leads to a strain on our community as a whole.
We feel it is our duty as healthcare providers to do our part and make the services we provide as affordable as possible. That’s why we offer a sliding scale.
What is the Scale?
$35 - $60 For an initial visit.
$20 - $40 For regular visits.
$10 and up for return or multiple visits within one week.
As mentioned, we know that everyone has different financial circumstances and we feel that your finances are your own business. That is why our scale is 'suggested'. A family of four with a mortgage, living (or trying to live) on $60,000 a year has less money to spend on healthcare than an individual earning the same amount. You get the idea. You decide what you can afford.
Keep in mind that we also have families and financial obligations, so please pay what you can. This way you get the treatment that you need and we get to keep providing it for you. We hope this will be a sustaining arrangement that everyone benefits from. Click here for a comparison of cost between most clinics and BCA.
